kadaham yamuna-tire namani tava kirtayan
udvaspah pundarikaksha rachayisyami tandavam

atra nanda-sadma asit, atra shakatasya bhanjanam abhavat,
atra bandhac-chedakarah damodarah api damabhih baddhah
abhut itham madhura-vrddha vaktra-vigalit piyusadharam
piban anandashrudharah aham kada madhupurim carisyami?

hari hari, ara ki emana dasha haba.
ya saba samsara tyaji parama anande maji
ara kabe vrajabhumi jaba

“O Krishna, When will I again get an opportunity to leave this samsara and filled with utmost joy, go to the land of Vraj ? ”

kabe govardhana giri dekhiba nayana bhari
kabe habe radha kunde basa.
bhramite bhramite kabe ye deha patana habe
kahe dina narottama dasa

Narottama Dasa Thakura says: “When will I get an opportunity to see Govardhana and fill my eyes with tears of ecstasy? When will I live at Radhakunda? Wandering and wandering, when and where will I leave this waning body?”
